The Outback gets a facelift!
The Birdsville and Innamincka Hotels are delighted to launch two new websites—one for each outback hotel. Each features an engaging short film designed for future social media campaigns, showcasing the highlights of each town and iconic 'watering hole'.
Jo Fort, General Manager of both hotels, engaged WOOF Media in 2016 as her marketing partner, setting them the challenge of refreshing the brands for each hotel and devising a new strategy for marketing the iconic outback pubs.
I sensed that we needed to recharge our marketing strategies and that fresh eyes along with expert independent advice was required to progress. Working with WOOF Media, we developed a new marketing strategy and have implemented phase 1, which included new branding, two new separate websites, complete with video and new imagery. Phase 2 will include fully embracing the digital age with social media marketing, supported with traditional media as appropriate.
WOOF Media brought together a creative team of copywriters, videographers and photographers to create two stunning mobile-responsive websites that answer the vital questions people have when contemplating a visit to the outback.
The websites showcase all that is unique and exhilarating about Australia's vast and often unpredictable outback. They feature important information on roads and weather for those contemplating the drive; links to transport operators for those who prefer to fly, and up-to- date information on legendary outback events including the Big Red Bash and Birdsville and Innamincka Races.
Many people do not know there is quality accommodation at both the Birdsville and Innamincka pubs, or that you can do a 'creek cruise' on the Cooper Creek — a very special outback water experience. And, with the recent heavy summer rains, the region is set to be quite spectacular this coming season with full creeks, lakes and plenty of stunning birdlife. The new websites will be an important marketing tool in communicating these unique outback Australian experiences to locals and internationals alike.
Given the unpredictability of internet coverage in remote Australia, booking online is not yet a feature of the websites. Until coverage improves to enable online bookings, potential visitors can use 'old technology' and call or email to make enquiries.
